Flexibility – The Key for Small Business
Special advice for small business owners
Often people lack confidence to make good decisions because they haven’t thought about what they want. All of a sudden, and apparently our of the blue, comes an opportunity presents itself and they can’t take advantage of it. Therefore many great offers fall by the wayside, leaving entrepreneurs kicking themselves in the butt for years to come. If you don’t want to have a bunch of “what ifs,” you can check out the advice I have here.
Just to let you know, I originally created these to support my travel addition. Mastering these methods allowed me to travel extensively and frequently on a tiny budget. The only real requirements were the ability to make an immediate decision and being able to pack a suitcase in record time.
Be flexible
I believe the more flexible you are in your small business, the less you pay. In order to save money, I will usually remain as flexible as possible and try hard to go with the flow of opportunities as they present themselves. This is a practice that I try to instill in my clients as well. Often when they are able to accept things as they come their way, they as able to dramatically increase their revenue and their chances of success.
Keep a running list
In an effort to take flexibility to a new high, it’s a good idea to keep a running list of things you want to happen for your small business. I include people with whom I would like to develop a solid relationship, advancements I would like to make and goals to achieve. Having this list allows me to quickly sift through opportunities to determine if they work or not. It’s a good idea to closely examine offers to see if they could eventually support one of the above objectives.
Be on the lookout
Always be in search of things that you need and can use in your business. I’m amazed at the things that I find in the most unusual places. In an effort to save money I always am on the lookout for things that I need on a regular basis to keep my business moving. I stock up when I see things I use frequently.
I recently purchased over $2000 in fountains for my garden for less than $120. I have a home office with gardens in every direction. I use the fountains as focal points. Clients love looking out the windows and hearing the gurgling water as we work. I wasn’t really looking for them but they are wonderful and the price was right.
No time to waste
Sometimes decisions need to be made pretty quickly for small business. If you have these lists and a preexisting philosophy, you’ll have the confidence to move quickly without making major mistakes.
Should result in sculpting a terrific deal
Another fun trick is to get two for the price of one. While everyone is concentrating on the closest possible opportunity. I do the opposite. I look for options that solve more than one problem, get me further, faster or jump start my efforts . The goal is to use creativity, resourcefulness and vision to make more from what’s in front of me. This mindset frequently results in more tailor made deals that provide exceptional benefits to my company and the companies of my clients.
If you have any questions about using the information that I have shared today, feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email. I’d love to hear what you think about this and any or the other ideas I have. Thanks!

I love running lists.. It keeps things on your radar so that you don’t feel overwhelmed when everything feels like it is hitting you at once.
It’s like having a road map. Sure, you can get to where you want to be without it but chances are you’ll get lost along the way and ending up spending more time and money than you need to.. and think about all the missed opportunities during that time!
Great read. I’m going to make my promotional rounds now, my friend!

Yomar,
For the busy person and entrepreneur lists work very well and are easy to digest. I write for my clients and I know they need to info and they need it quick. I give them tons of homework and they don’t have time to read lots of words.
For someone who’s always lost, which I am, a set of directions can mean the difference between getting there or driving for hours. Honestly, I prefer the map.
I love your posts. They are information heavy and like an education all on their own. Thanks so much for your comment.
